Dr Noah Whitehead

Noah is a Physician for Axis and is currently Team Doctor to The Blues Super Rugby Team, and has previously worked with the Canterbury NPC Team and New Zealand U20 Rugby Team. He has also worked as a doctor for the Heineken Tennis Open in Auckland. Noah has particular interests in ultrasound guided procedures and acute injury management.

Noah is a Sport and Exercise Physician at Axis and completed his fellowship training in Auckland after initially working and training in Christchurch in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.  He has been involved with several sports teams and events including the New Zealand U20 rugby team and is the current Blues doctor. 

Noah has completed a Masters of Health Sciences involving research on shoulder joint laxity and instability. He is interested in musculoskeletal and sports medicine, including ultrasound guided procedures, acute injury management, and helping patients stay active and healthy through exercise-based rehabilitation.
