We're always interested in speaking to any Sport and Exercise Physician keen to work with us. Send us a CV and cover letter detailing why you're interested in Axis, when and which of our clinic locations you're keen to join, and we'll be sure to be in touch.
While we are primarily a sport and exercise medicine clinic, we have a large number of registered patients, an extensive network of referrers and plenty of scope to grow. Please get in touch if you are interested in working with us.
We are the largest provider of training positions for Sport and Exercise registrars in New Zealand, and accept people at various stages of their training programme. Most years, we have at least one opening for a new registrar, if not more.
We pride ourselves on enabling our registrar team broad experience seeing a wide range of patients in clinic, as well as opportunities to work with some of New Zealand's elite athletes, teams and events. If you're interested in furthering your development with Axis, please send us your CV and a cover letter telling us why you'd love to join the team.
If you are interested in a medical elective with Axis, we'd love to hear from you. Please send your CV and a message detailing why you're interested in an elective with us, and dates you are interested in (please note we do not do placements between December and February).
As we can only offer a limited number of placements each year please submit your request for an elective by September 30th, for the following year’s placements. Any applications received after this date may still be considered, depending on availability.
We often have other roles come up within the clinic, so if you'd like to send us your CV and a cover letter detailing your skills and experience, we will keep your details on file.
Great! The best place to start (if you're from New Zealand or Australia) is the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP). They have all the information you need on entering the ACSEP specialist training program.
