Heidi: helping your clinician focus fully on you
At Axis, your appointment time is precious. We use Heidi, a secure AI recording tool, to help our clinicians capture the details of your appointment accurately, so they can spend more time listening to and focussing on you.
What is Heidi?
Heidi is a digital assistant that records and summarises parts of your consultation. It turns spoken information into a secure clinical note that your clinician can check and complete after your session. It does not replace your clinician. It is simply there in the background, helping with the paperwork.
Why we use Heidi?
Using Heidi means your clinician can:
- Stay more present in the conversation.
- Capture important details more accurately.
- Spend more time on your care and planning your rehab.
Our aim is to make your experience smoother, without changing the personal, face to face care you are used to at Axis.
What you can expect in your appointment?
If your clinician uses Heidi:
- They will let you know that Heidi is being used during your session and ask for your consent.
- A device may be placed nearby to record the clinical part of the conversation.
- Your clinician will still guide the appointment as usual, asking questions, assessing and explaining your treatment options.
If at any point you feel unsure, you are welcome to ask questions or tell us if you would prefer not to use Heidi. Your care will not be affected.
Your privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Heidi has been designed with security in mind and is used to support clinical documentation, not for marketing or advertising. If you would like more detail on how Heidi works, how your information is handled, or the technology behind it, you can read more in the Heidi information linked below or contact our team on info@axissportsmedicine.co.nz.
