Our Triage process is an important and required step that needs to occur before your specialist consultation. The purpose of this is to try to better understand your injury before your specialist appointment, while also seeing if we can get you on your path to recovery sooner.
When your specialist has all the necessary information and details about your problem they can focus on a thorough assessment and treatment plan. This triage appointment doesn’t replace any existing support you may be getting from your GP or preferred physio provider.
Why does this help you?
Put you with the right clinician first time, reducing avoidable re-bookings.
Identifies urgent issues early, so nothing important is missed.
Plans investigations in the right order, saving time and repeat visits.
Clarifies your goals and next steps, so your specialist consult can focus on decisions.
Improves continuity. Your specialist starts with a clearer picture of your injury.
Following your triage, our team may identify that you could benefit from additional support while you wait for your specialist appointment.
Where this is recommended, our support team will contact you to arrange an appointment with the appropriate member of our wider clinical team. They will also explain that this appointment is designed to support and strengthen your recover while you wait. It does not replace your specialist appointment.
