Sam is a Doctor at Axis, having previously worked in Emergency Medicine in Auckland. She has also provided medical services to various provincial rugby teams, NZ Cricket and The ANZ Premiership Netball, and in a past life was a personal trainer.

Sam is a Sport and Exercise Medicine Registrar in her third year of the ACSEP specialist training program at Axis.

She graduated from The University of Otago in 2016. Her initial hospital years were spent in Gisborne. Following this, she worked at Middlemore Hospital as an Emergency Medicine registrar before commencing the ACSEP program.

Sam was a keen tennis player until starting medical school but now has a real passion for Ultimate, and a love for the outdoors which sees her scuba diving (she holds a PADI rescue diver license), surfing, hiking and walking her Swedish Vallhund.
