Ben was born and raised in Auckland, studying at The University of Auckland and completing his medical degree in 2015. After graduating he spent 4 years working primarily at Auckland based hospitals in a range of medical and surgical specialities, before working as a GP for 1 year. Ben commenced his Registrar training at Axis in 2021 and has recently returned following a 2-year stint in Sydney, Australia.
Ben has an interest in most sports, particularly the contact codes of rugby union and rugby league, in addition to football and tennis. Outside of work he enjoys keeping active in the gym with powerlifting, as well as spending time with his family.
