Clare is a concussion Occupational Therapist who graduated from AUT with a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2022. She also holds a Bachelor of Health Promotion from Unitec (2016) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions from AUT (2024).
With a background working in community mental health, Clare developed a strong foundation in holistic and recovery-focused care. Her passion for neurology, progressive and chronic illness management, and evidence-based practice has led her to broaden her scope into sports medicine, where she combines her clinical expertise with her love for movement and performance.
At Axis Sports Medicine Concussion Clinic, Clare is particularly interested in supporting clients through the complexities of concussion recovery, integrating a holistic approach that addresses not only the physical aspects but also the cognitive and emotional challenges of injury. She enjoys staying up to date with the latest medical research to ensure her practice remains grounded in best practice.
Outside of the clinic, Clare is a competitive athlete, proudly representing New Zealand in wrestling. As both a mother and athlete, she understands the demands of balancing health, performance, and life’s many roles — a perspective she brings to her work with every client.
