Nicole is thorough and holistic in her approach, taking the time to understand each patient's lifestyle and goals to tailor a plan for the individual. She believes that collaboration and timely communication with other health professionals is key to ensuring a smooth recovery and preventing further injury.
Although all ages are catered for, Nicole has a particular interest in treating children and adolescents, supporting them to reach their performance and participation goals, while considering their future health and wellbeing. An appreciation of the unique needs of children and their families was fostered working at the Children's Hospital at Westmead Institute of Sports Medicine, Sydney and in Paediatric Emergency. In Australia, she pioneered a Sports Medicine Clinic in a school setting, consulting students on an individual basis and delivering education on Sports Medicine topics to students and parents. She continues to support her local community, providing rapid access to an injury and concussion clinic for schools and sporting clubs.
She has published research in the field of Injury Prevention Exercise Programmes in Youth Rugby Union and enjoys presenting to school, community sporting clubs and other health practitioners on Female Athlete health and other Sports Medicine topics.
In a previous life, Nicole was a 'serious' endurance athlete, taking on Paris Marathon and 70.3 Triathlons. She now enjoys a spot of tennis, running, swimming or cycling (sometimes after her two young boys) and group strength classes. A keen skier, she is looking forward to enjoying the Winter season and working to keep patients safely on the slopes.
