Helen is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. She also holds post-graduate qualifications in both Sports Medicine and Paediatrics. She has a special interest in the treatment of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and works primarily in our Concussion Clinic. Helen also has an interest in the treatment of paediatric injuries and women’s health. She has previously worked as a team doctor for the New Zealand Commonwealth Youth Olympic team and has advised New Zealand Rugby regarding their community concussion policies.
Helen also works in under-graduate and post-graduate medical education roles. She has been an author of modules in the FIFA Diploma of Football Medicine and has several contract roles at the University of Auckland. She has been a representative squash player and enjoys running, playing tennis and futsal, as well as spending time with her three young boys.
